With products that require pelletizing, technology may be incorporated into the Gral high-shear mixer. Special techniques allow the preparation and the final forming of the pellet within the same bowl. A specially developed mixing arm aids the process, and in combination with other elements of the machine, guarantees a high-quality product.

MicroGral™

Niro Pharma Systems is pleased to present the MicroGral™, a lab scale high shear mixer/granulator. This system is designed for lab scale powder processing.

Apart from its standard use as a developmental tool for wet or melt granulation processes, the MicroGral™ can also be used for pre-formulation work and theological investigations.

As the process vessel is made of glass (borosilicate), cylindrically shaped, with flat bottom and curved angles, this system gives maximum visual contact with the process. The system is equipped with torque read-out allowing accurate granulation endpoint detection studies. The main impeller and chopper are driven through the vessel cover. The design of the vessel results in a quick turnover time: emptying, cleaning and loading in a few minutes.

The operator interface is a computer based touch screen system. It is the basis for accurate data logging of the different process data in a Microsoft Excel batch report and saved on a solid state memory stick that can be plugged into a USB port of an external PC (PC not included).

The equipment is designed for:

  • High Shear Mixing and Wet Granulation
  • Pelletization
  • Mixing Liquids
  • Blending Powder

Its main applications are:

  • Formulation Development
  • Screening
  • Quality Control
