Please follow the links below in order for a detailed discussion of the work done on Fluidized Bed Precision Granulation Fluidized Bed Precision Granulation with Real Time Process Determination (Download PDF) IntroductionPrecision Granulation (PG) is a modified bottom spray fluidized bed granulation method which is carried out in the Precision Granulator [1-2]. The schematics of the granulator and the Precision Granulation process are given in Figure 1. As opposed to the counter-current flow in conventional top spray fluidized bed granulation, the granulating liquid in Precision Granulation is delivered in an upward direction co-current to the flow of material through the spray zone and column. Real Time Process Determination(RTPD) is a software program that can be integrated with the granulator controls system for enhancing process monitoring and control.
