Niro at 2008 World Congress on Powder Metallurgy & Particulate Materials
GEA Niro will exhibit on booth #140. To register please click here. More than 1,500 attendees from 45 countries are expected to attend PM2008 World Congress, the 2008 World Congress on Powder Metallurgy & Particulate Materials. The audience will include technical staff and buyers of metal powders, tooling and compacting presses, spray dryers and granulators, furnaces, furnace belts, powder handling and blending equipment, quality control and automation equipment, particle size & powder characterization equipment, consulting and research services, rotary presses, etc. GEA Niro is a world leader in spray drying technology for production of hard metal powders and carbides. Spray drying is the preferred technology for production of ready-to-press powders and applied by most of the industry due to its ability to control particle formation and because it gives a free-flowing powder in one single operation. Niro has the knowledge and competences to supply plants complying with the highest requirements to powder quality: particle size distribution, residual moisture content, bulk density, particle morphology, and other product related requirements, as well as to plant efficiency and reliability. A testament to this is the more than 120 references for hard metal powders. Niro's range of spray dryers includes open configurations for water-based materials and closed-cycle configurations for solvent-based materials. The closed cycle spray dryers for hard metal powder production come in sizes ranging from a production capacity of 60- 600 kg/h. - all pre-erected and pressure tested before shipment. The Congress is co-sponsored by the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF) and APMI International. MPIF is an international federation of six independent trade associations (company membership) representing distinct industry segments including PM parts and products manufacturers, metal powder producers, equipment manufacturers, metal injection molding, refractory metals, and other related technologies. MPIF is responsible for marketing the industry to end users, as well as providing members with statistics, educational seminars, publications, and other technical and business services. APMI is a worldwide technical society for individuals working in, or interested in developments related to PM technology.
