GEA Process Engineering Inc. (GEA Liquid Processing) will exhibit at the 2008 HBA Global Expo on booth #1064.

2008 HBA Global Expo
September 9-11, 2008
Jacob K. Javits Convention Center
New York, NY USA

Come to New York City and "Discover What's New", "Evaluate International Products and Suppliers", "Keep Abreast of Industry and Market Development and Trends", "Network with Peers", and "Develop New Business Contacts" in the cosmetic and personal care industry.

The GEA Liquid Processing stand will feature:

  • high pressure homogenizers which often are applied to cosmetic applications such as beauty creams, toothpaste, perfume, creams, soap, shampoo, lotion and liposomes. High-pressure homogenization enable the cosmetic and personal care industries to obtain an homogeneous and stable product emulsion, with better active ingredients dispersion than possible with conventional stirrers, rotor-stator devices or colloid mills. High pressure homogenization can effectively reduce the particle size down to nanometers with uniform dimensional distribution - this is achieved by forcing the product through a special homogenizing valve at a very high pressure. The fluid-dynamic effects such as shear, turbulence, cavitations, acceleration and impact contribute to the final homogeneous and stable solution.
  • the advanced Batch Formula™ Mixing Systems which is probably the most versatile powder liquid mixing system available today. Due to the unique patented dynamic stator system, powder-liquid mixing and homogenization is now possible in one unit operation, going from low shear to high shear with a single input. Because the powder introduction point is below the liquid surface in the mixing vessel, instant wetting of the ingredients is achieved for even the most difficult pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and personal care applications. The Batch Formula™ can mix and process products with up to 80% solids. The high efficient mixing device placed in the bottom of the tank is the key to a uniform homogeneous mixing of most products in the process unit.
  • aside from the abovementioned unit operations GEA Liquid Processing will also feature our CIP, process integration and process automation philosophy which is build around the double seat valve (block and bleed) technology and the pocket free piping design.

HBA is the event for the cosmetic, fragrance and personal care industry. In 1993 HBA Global Expo was launched as the only event in North America to address the marketing, technical, systems and equipment needs of the entire beauty industry. For 15 consecutive years, the show has created an international marketplace bringing together suppliers and buyers in the beauty industry's number one marketplace - New York City.

Since its debut, HBA has become a premier gathering place for the entire beauty industry. Showcasing everything from formula to finish, HBA Global Expo includes an increasing number of private labels, raw materials, equipment suppliers, process integrators, ingredient suppliers, as well as contract fillers. The event had more than 16,000 attendees and 739 exhibitors in 2007.

Through inspiring keynotes, workshops, thought-provoking educational conferences and full-day business programs, comprehensive exhibition floor and hands-on access to hundreds of new products and innovations, attendees at HBA will receive unequalled learning opportunities. After three days, attendees will return to their organizations inspired and empowered to succeed.
