GEA Procomac

GEA Procomac's core business is designing, manufacturing and installing complete aseptic filling lines for juices, teas, isotonics, soft drinks, dairy products and complete traditional filling lines for water, and carbonated soft drinks. At 2008 PACKEXPO the main focus will be on aseptic filling systems for low acid shelf-stable products for which GEA Procomac has received a letter of non-objection (LNO) from the United States Food & Drug Administration (FDA). The first GEA Procomac aseptic filling line was installed in 1994. Today, GEA Procomac is the worldwide leader with more than 85 installed lines. GEA Procomac is perceived to be the most reliable supplier of aseptic filling systems with an exceptional high rate of repeat customers.

GEA Avapac

GEA Avapac design and manufacture world-class hygienic powder packaging components and systems - the core business being bag filling machines and packaging lines that specifically meet clients' needs. At the 2008 PACK EXPO GEA Avapac will display the advanced IBF600 Bag Filler. The GEA Avapac IBF600 Bag Fiiler is designed for applications where hygienic design and extremely high accuracy are required at a medium to high packaging rates. The lnline IBF600 Bag Filler is normally selected for the dairy, food ingredients, and food industries. The IBF range of bag fillers offers a flexible and reliable straight line packing process. The bulk powder filling uses the GEA Avapac bottom-up filling system, minimizing the introduction of false air into the powder, and powder emission to the environment. Optional dust extraction facilities will further contribute to a clean packing area. Where sensitive high fat powders or similar are packed, the option of packing in a modified atmosphere is available. The GEA Avapac IBF 600 Bag Filler can pack up to 6,000 kgs of powder per hour (3-4 25kg bags per minute).

GEA Colby

GEA Colby is the GEA Group center-of-excellence for powder handling and packaging. GEA Colby provide high quality engineering and project management, when required, to achieve cost effective 'turnkey' projects all over the World. Our major focus is to supply equipment & integrated systems for handling and packaging a broad range of powdered products; notably sanitary food applications. Proprietary GEA Colby technologies include high speed rotary fillers, high accuracy intermittent fillers, powder gassing technology, reliable spoon/scoop dispensing machinery and technically advanced powder conveying systems. At 2008 PACK EXPO, GEA Colby will exhibit their new combined filler-closer system. The IFS30-G is a fully integrated filling and closing system, in a compact assembly, incorporating high efficiency modified atmosphere processing. The filling system uses state of the art closed loop, feedback technology combined with gross check weighing, to achieve high accuracy and excellent repeatability. This enables reduced product giveaway and less rejects. The fully integrated M.A.P. treatment means the IFS 30 provides low R.O.'s and minimized gas consumption. Other features of the GEA Colby IFS 30 are high sanitation (to '3A' standards) and fast container diameter changeovers. The system is also more compact than alternative technologies.
