IFPAC Annual Meeting GEA Pharma Systems at the 2008 IFPAC - 22nd International Forum for Process Analytical Technology. GEA Pharma Systems will exhibit on booth #414 GEA Pharma Systems integrate process engineering and PAT (Process Analytical Technology) to provide Process Intelligence The FDA's PAT (Process Analytical Technology) initiative has enabled GEA Pharma Systems (previously known as Niro Pharma Systems) to combine its equipment design skills and process engineering know-how to integrate online (PAT) sensors and probes into process systems in ways that provide real insight into the operation of the process and help customers achieve key product quality target. At the 2008 IFPAC event, GEA Pharma Systems will promote the advanced Lighthouse Probe. The Lighthouse Probe is a compact and cleanable in-process optical probe for use in powder processing systems. It can be used with a range of spectroscopic techniques, including NIR and UV/vis, to overcome the traditional problem of product sticking to observation windows. The probe is compact and easy to install and makes it possible to take a reliable in process measurement of quality critical product characteristics including:
Examples of Lighthouse Probe applications:
The IFPAC EventThe IFPAC forum has gained a reputation for creating a productive environment for the discussion of topics relating to the techniques in process analysis, quality & control. The IFPAC 2008 forum and exhibition will be held at the "Baltimore Marriott Waterfront". IFPAC is the leading conference in process analysis and technology and this will be the 22nd International Forum for Process Analytical Technology. Process Analytical Technology (PAT) is a key to an effective implementation of the Quality by Design (QbD) initiative as a way to achieve effective process understanding and control and the IFPAC will be an exciting forum to learn about recent developments in the field of process analytical chemistry, technology and control applications in many different industries. IFPAC has a history of providing high quality presentations by analytical and process technology leaders in addressing a variety of sessions on topics including: spectroscopy, chromatography, biologics, knowledge management, and sampling systems. In addition, evening workshops promote lively discussion of current issues and throughout the conference there are many opportunities for networking and informal meetings.
