Tabletop Homogenizer

The Niro Soavi Panda is a benchtop high-pressure homogenizer that is ideal for the laboratory needs of companies processing biochemicals, chemicals, cosmetics, foodstuff, and pharmaceuticals.

In the pharmaceutical/biochemical area, the Panda's ability to test small samples at very high pressures allows laboratory studies on particle micronization and cell rupture. Special homogenizing valves are available for cell rupture applications.

The Panda processes small volumes of liquids and pumpable fluids, homogenizing samples at rates up to approximately 160 ml/min at pressures up to 21,750 psi (1500 bar). The unit is designed to handle feeds at high viscosity (up to 20,000 cP) and temperatures to 194° F (90°C) without feed pumps. The unit contains its own CIP (clean-in-place) capability.

Design features include:

• Compression head made of high-quality, corrosion-resistant stainless steel
• Suction and delivery ceramic ball valves
• Special gaskets for aggressive materials available
• Homogenizing valve of abrasion- and corrosion-resistant ceramic and tungsten carbide
• Built-in pressure adjusting capabilities
• Optional second homogenizing stage
• No cooling water required due to a special piston packing
