Innovative Modul™ Tablet Press Now Double-Sided

The Courtoy Modul™ rotary tablet press, recognized for superior performance and very attractive process economics, is now available as a double-sided, double-layer Modul™ D with high-capacity production capabilities.

The Courtoy Modul™ D is as a double-sided, double-layer rotary tablet press with high-capacity production capabilities.

Like the single-sided Modul™ S, the Modul™ D contains all powder within an innovative (patent pending) Exchangeable Compression Module (ECM) designed for extreme fast product changeover. The advantages of the Modul™ D are:

• High-capacity output (nearly three times that of the Modul™ S) to meet increased production requirements.
• Capability for double-layer tablets.
• Product changeover of the complete compression suite in less than an hour.
• Reduced production cost per tablet due to fast changeover, reduced downtime, and increased productivity.
• Removed ECM can be washed offline while production is resumed with a second ECM.
• Operator protection enhanced by very high containment levels (to 1 μg/m3).
• Optimized production control with choice of control systems.

The Modul™ tablet press is equipped with the 21CFRpart11-compliant MultiControl 4. This fully graphical interface can either be run in the standard Courtoy Displacement Control mode, or in Force Control or Dual Control. The dual control combines force control and displacement control in independent control loops for control of both tablet weight and hardness.
