Courtoy Industrial rotary presses
Courtoy Industrial rotary presses

The Chemical Division of Niro Inc. now provides a complete line of Courtoy industrial rotary presses with all accessories. Through this major extension of its product line, Niro now offers a range of technology for every step of powder processing from drying through agglomeration, and now including production of final pressed shapes.

Courtoy presses feature state-of-the-art technology backed by more than 80 years of experience. They are constructed with a cast-iron frame for the highest stability and rigidity under the stress of high compression forces. The die table is a forged steel one-part nickel-coated turret with hard chromium coating. Each guide features a removable bush and scraper seal for greater protection and longer life. The Courtoy air compensator is a unique way of applying compression force, combining the advantages of selecting constant force or constant thickness compression in the same equipment.

Courtoy industrial presses are used in the following markets and applications:

  • Metallurgy and ceramics: tungsten carbide balls for pens, nuclear fuel pellets, electronic capacitors and cores
  • Industrial and automotive, including alkaline batteries
  • Household, e.g. detergent tablets
  • Food: tablets for soups and stock cubes
  • Confectionery: sugar candies
  • Pet products: different sizes and shapes of pet food and veterinary tablets
  • Cosmetics & toiletries

Courtoy presses are available in ten models, ranging in capacity from 30,000 to 1,000,000 tablets per hour. Control systems vary from manual to plc to computer controlled.
