We are pleased to advise that GEA Colby has been acquired by GEA of Bochum in Germany. GEA is a company of the MG Technologies Group. GEA Colby will be incorporated into the rapidly growing Process Engineering Segment of GEA. As part of Process Engineering, GEA Colby will find many new growth opportunities and will be able to complement GEA's strong position in the food and dairy market. The acquisition will enable GEA Colby to strengthen their working relationship with several GEA companies; namely, Niro Inc in Hudson, Wisconsin, USA and GEA Avapac of Hamilton, New Zealand.
Together with GEA Avapac, GEA Colby will form the basis of a new "Powder Systems" business unit within GEA Process Engineering. This unit will focus on delivering a wider range of products and services to their clients around the globe as well as improved after sales support for GEA Avapac and GEA Colby equipment.
