Columbia, MD-As a result of its parent company GEA-AG's acquisition of the Pharmaceutical Division of GEI International plc, Niro Inc. now offers a full range of Buck® intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), plus all associated charging, discharging, and handling systems. Products include:
IBCs are used for handling, storage, and tumble blending of pharmaceutical components. Buck® IBCs range from laboratory to production size (30 to 3000 liters), with charging and discharging valves in a variety of styles. A series of tumble blenders interface with the IBCs for in-container blending of dry powder formulations. Wash stations with many options act with the containers and systems for a consistent, repeatable standard. Chargers come in manual or automatic modes, with a patented seal arrangement for powder containment. Dischargers may be manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic, through the floor or via hoists. Dischargers can be combined with weighing systems to monitor status of IBC contents during discharging. Buck® solids deceleration devices improve control of solids discharging between processes. Buck's complete IBC batch handling systems have GMP standards designed in, with various control systems, from manual to fully automated computer integrated. Buckšs experienced engineering team provides full service, including overseeing installation and commissioning of all systems.
