Batch Spray Coating of Particulates

Precision Coater

Bottom spray coating of products such as powders, seeds, crystals and other small particulates takes place in a central column as the product is airborne upwards in the presence of a fine spray of coating liquid. The moistened product is dried and recycled, and the processing continues until the specified degree of coating has been obtained.

Ultra Coater

Coating takes place as a liquid is sprayed through radially directed nozzles onto the product which is made to rotate in a special manner to obtain the spray coverage necessary for optimum coating efficiency. In this way product handling is lenient and there is virtually no product attrition. An ideal system for coating large particulates such as tablets and capsules.

Roto-Processor

Another application of the Roto-Processor™ described earlier. Coating liquids are introduced through the nozzle arrangement.

Top Spray Coater

Coating liquid is sprayed down onto a bed of fluidized particles. This design of coater is ideal for coating large quantities of powders, crystals and pellets.

Steam Drying of Fibrous Particulates

Superheated steam has long been recognized as a drying medium that leads to a nonpolluting and safe drying at low energy consumption. This technology has been applied for fluid bed drying of moist particulates of irregular shape and size, including fibrous and many organic solid waste materials as shown below.
