Distillation in Pharmaceutical Industry

The number of solvents handled in this area of application (distillation) is particularly large and the range in plant capacity is considerable. Depending on the type of processing, plants may be required with a distillation capacity of just a few hundred liters right up to several tons per hour. When integrating existing processes, sterile processing can be equally important as taking into consideration any special explosion protection guidelines. Standard solutions are out of the question. Specific processing stages such as evaporation, distillation, rectification, stripping, and condensing are applied according to particular requirements and are combined to provide the best possible results.
