The Niro Group specializes in the processes of turning dairy products into a variety of powder types. We are drawing on many years of experience in the business, and Niro milk powder plants are designed and built on the basis of our comprehensive know-how in milk technology. The transformation of liquid milk into dry powder requires removal of almost all of the water, and the physical structure, product properties and appearance change significantly during this process. In addition, each milk product, whether pure or mixed with ingredients, can be processed in different ways according to our customer's wishes. Niro milk powder plants meet even the strictest criteria for hygiene and safety.

A powder plant features two main water removal systems: one or more falling film evaporators and a spray dryer, with upstream and downstream processing equipment to optimize plant performance.
