GEA Process Engineering S.A.GEA Process Engineering, Evaporator division finds its roots in Laguilharre, an old world-wide recognized company founded in the late 30ies, known to be one of the pioneers in evaporation within the food and dairy industry. For these applications, Laguilharre has been the uncontested market leader in France and surrounding countries. In 1977 Laguilharre was integrated in the Niro group with the aim of supplying an unbroken chain of process equipment from liquid to powder to the benefit of our customers within the food and dairy industry. During a short period in the late 70ies and early 80ies, much emphasis was given to energy efficiency (first MVR plants designed and supplied by GEA Process Engineering). Since the mid 80ies focus changed completely to final product quality and added product value. New processes were and are developed in a continuing way with the aim to increase process flexibility, to improve final product (powder) quality and plant efficiency. All these developments took place in close co-operation with our customers, always with the aim to help them fulfilling the demands of their markets. Thus GEA Process Engineering today possesses a know how within dairy evaporation and processing technology that is recognized world-wide as unequalled.
